Marshall also serves by honoring the legacy of a true hero: slain LAPD SWAT officer, Randal Simmons.
After nearly three decades with LAPD (including 20 years on the SWAT team), Randy was one of the most experienced SWAT
officers in the country. In 2008, Randy was tragically killed in the line of duty. Marshall captured the two-hour long funeral procession in
powerful images. He turned those pictures, combined with a photo Marshall took of Randy for Men’s Fitness magazine, into a
compelling poster to honor the fallen hero.
